Description

The new intake silencer model POWER is characterized by an improvement in the dynamics of the lower casing, connecting the flow in the direction of the carburetor as much as possible. The new sleeve is aimed at minimizing the damage of the sleeve, with the carburettor that sucks directly into the chamber downstream of the filter, of considerable size, approaching the volume limit imposed by the regulations, which is particularly appreciated by KZ engines, equipped with a 30 mm venturi carburettor. This very short sleeve inclined by 5° is perfectly connected and allows the installation of the intake silencer with an air flow inlet almost parallel to the ground, for maximum dynamic performance. A second sleeve with an increased inclination will also be available in the package, which, when rotated in the correct position, allows the silencer to be mounted even at angles with less "pushed" dynamics, therefore with the inlet slightly pointed downwards, offering more space to the rider if necessary, as well as being able to adapt to engines with a carburetor inclination very parallel to the ground. The big news, however, concerns the collaboration between KG and SPRINT FILTER, which has led to the creation of a new and specific cartridge filter. Sprint Filter has been the world's oldest manufacturer of performance air filters since 1952, as well as the current leading supplier to World Motorsport. KG has found in Sprintfilter the ideal partner to significantly improve the quality of the internal cartridge filter. For this reason, Sprint Filter has developed a cartridge filter for KG specifically designed for the POWER airbox, using a specific multi-patented polyester mesh air filter with P037 filter media equipped with an air passage of 4,500 lit/m² sec. against a very high degree of filtration of 37 μm, which has allowed it to brilliantly exceed the strict ISO 5011:201 filtration standards. P037 is also the only air filter in the world to boast waterproof technology. Sprint Filter, in fact, has the patent that allows it to be the only manufacturer in the world to produce air filters that allow air to pass by repelling water by means of a very special perennial treatment on the filter mesh. Unlike all performance air filters, the Sprint Filter air filter is truly eternal, does not require any oily carrier to retain impurities and regenerates in a few seconds using only compressed air. Therefore, this internal filter has a perfectly calibrated polyester mesh, where the interweaving of polyester threads determines a constant constancy of the air passage holes, equal to 37 microns. All filters are the same and do not vary over time. The cotton fabric, used in the NITRO model, on the other hand, unfortunately has an inconstancy, due to the very nature of the cotton, with many "lints" that disturb the flow. On the other hand, this polyester weave is perfectly smooth and calibrated.  The load loss is really improved compared to the cotton fabric and above all with great consistency.   Not to be confused with polyester non-woven fabric, which is in fact a paper with poor air permeability performance, used in many cheap filters.
